Our team​

We have built a dedicated team of educators who share our vision for delivering a revolutionary learning experience in Nigeria. Our co-learners (our term for ‘teachers’) are the primary learning facilitators at KEY academy, collaborating with children to understand their experiences, thoughts, and voice, in order to support their individual goals and needs through their entire learning journey.

As passionate educators from across Nigeria, our co-learners bring their love of exploration to KEY academy. They were either headhunted, or referred to us directly, and all have teaching experience and are either qualified educators or are working towards teaching qualifications. However, we do not attribute their abilities, successes and passion for transformative learning to their qualifications - this is simply a tick in the box. Our co-learners are amazing at what they do because not only are they gifted when it comes to working with children, but they also share our vision for facilitating a 21st-century learning experience, with a genuine openness to new learning methodologies, and a commitment to their ongoing personal learning and development.

 

Our co-learner to child ratio is kept intentionally low so each child gets the attention and support needed to reach their highest potential. We also work closely with Subject Matter Experts who as industry leaders and practitioners, bring their passion about their area of expertise to the children of KEY academy. This is critical for active learning and bringing projects to life.
